I made the move to Bristol last August to stay with a host family, start training with Bristol Flyers and get ready for college at the beginning of September.
At the beginning of September I once again took part in the Regional Development Tournament which was held at Nottingham and represented the South West for U17’s.
Since then I have been training and competing for both Bristol Flyers in the conference league, cup games and for SGS College EABL Division 1 league.
I have played against teams from all over the country including Leeds, Birmingham, Plymouth, Cardiff etc. We are currently top of the league for our u18 Conference team and currently 5th in the Western Conference of the EABL, pushing for a top 4 position with strong playoff aspirations.
Competing against top players in the country on a regular basis has really pushed me to work hard, and has definitely helped to improve my game and confidence.
Although moving to Bristol was a hard decision as meant leaving family and friends I can say it has definitely been worth it. I am training 16 hours a week on top of studying for 3 A Levels – so I am definitely kept very busy!
I would like to just thank TS5C for their continued support, which has helped to pay for bus fares to and from college and training, as well as my training kit and match kit.
