I haves had a busy last few weeks. I flew out to the Netherlands, with Team GB, as part of the squad to represent Great Britain in the European Youth Olympic Festival 2013 in Utrecht.

I had a very successful meet, winning a gold in the 100m breast stroke in a new British Age Group Record and two days later won a bronze in the 200m breast stroke, notching up another British record, which had stood for 10 yrs! I really enjoyed my experience and hopes to represent Great Britain again in the near future.

Somerset-based Charlie Attwood, has spectacularly won the Boys 100m Breaststoke Final at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht, Holland (17-07-2913) in a time of 1.03.19

Lying second at the end of 50m, 15-year-old Attwood swam a superb final stretch to beat the Russian swimmer Anton Chupkov, who was the fastest qualifier from the heats, into second place by just seven 1/100ths of a second.

Charlie Attwood wins the TS5C sponsored Yound Sports Achiever 2013 award at SASP Somerset Sports Awards.
