Latest Update from cyclist Robert Hogg
"Winter training is going fabulously, i'm getting in 15-18 hours training per week and i'm feeling very good for it, and the results i've got in the first two races of 2015 reflect that.
The Icebreaker Track Series and Newport National velodrome commenced on the 23rd of Jan. There were 3 races and the overall result is tallied up with points gained from each race. I finished 2nd, 2nd and 3rd, this lead me to a 2nd overall. There are two rounds left in the series and it is a great ambition to win the series overall.
The next race was the Linda Saunders Winter Pursuits at Merryfield Circuit. The fasted riders set of last 6 minutes behind the slowest riders, myself and one other professional rider set off last, and not only did we catch all the other riders, we also broke away again and ended up both in the top 3!
All races gain one points, and my goal this year is to gain 300, in order to achieve my Elite Status, which will commence in 2016. I'm the highest catagory a Junior rider can be, Catagory 1, but I want to start senior with the highly regarded status, Elite, this will help massively in getting onto a professional team. My bid for this achievement has started well."
